You'd think Jennifer Aniston would have to go to the most remote place on Earth to find people who wouldn't know who she is, but that wasn't the case when she was filming her new drama Cake.

In the movie, she's extremely made-under as a woman battling chronic pain. She also has a horrific scar on her face.

Aniston also didn't wear any makeup for the movie. After shooting one day, she made a trip to a local Target—in character.

"We were shooting a night shoot…and we decided what the hell, let's strut on into this Target and see what happens," she told me today at Cake's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. "Nobody recognized me! It was pretty awesome."

We bet it was.

"Actually, people felt sorry for me more than anything," Aniston said.

She loved going glamour-free. "It's one the most liberating things," Aniston said. "It was incredible."

Directed by Daniel Barnz, Cake co-stars Sam Worthington as a man whom Aniston befriends after his wife (Anna Kendrick) commits suicide.

The premiere screening received a standing ovation.

Aniston's hubby-to-be Justin Theroux was also at the premiere, but he declined to do interviews because he told the press he wanted the "focus" to be on Jen.

Aww.

What did Jen have to say about the attention being given to Theroux's manhood? Not much. Check out her hilarious response in the video below.
