Even though there's not too much going on in the latest photo of the blond bombshell in her upcoming flick Serena, J.Law's face alone can give fans a hint that there is something brewing. With her somber yet inquisitive look, and the fact that she's on a horse, Lawrence has raised suspicions as to what the heck is about to happen.
Especially if you know the plot behind this period piece.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Ron Rash, the flick revolves around George (Bradley Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence), who travel from Boston to North Carolina to build a timber empire.
Doesn't sound that exciting? Don't worry. Things get more interesting when Serena learns she can never get pregnant and sets out to murder the woman who bore George a son. Dun, dun, dun...
So is that what's going on in this photo? Is she plotting the women's death? Is she spying on her from a distance? Or is this just one of those moments when Serena proves herself to be equal to any man by overseeing loggers, hunting rattle-snakes and even saving a man's life in the wilderness?
Guess we'll have to wait until the film's release later this year. But until then, enjoy Jennifer Lawrence and all of her awesomeness on a horse.
