Miley Cyrus Talks New Music, Plus You Have to See Her Reaction to Taylor Swift's Performance!

Miley Cyrus may have made headlines last year at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, but at this year's red carpet, she admitted that her next body of work is going to take on an entirely different direction.

"It's a little psychedelic, but still in that pop world," she told Sway Sunday evening.

She also revealed that she's been working in the studio with her pals from the band The Flaming Lips in order to crank out some new tunes.

But unfortunately for all the Smilers out there, Cyrus' devotees may need to wait a while before getting a chance to listen to the former Disney darling's new music.

"This record might take me five years," she explained.

She also added that she's in no hurry or pressure to rush the creative process, saying, "I'll just work on it until I'm done."

And Cyrus may not have been shaking her booty at this year's awards show, but she definitely stole the carpet in her stunning leather bandeau top and slacks.

During the show, Cyrus made quite the impression after watching Taylor Swift take the stage to perform her hit single "Shake It Off."

We won't put words into her mouth, but she looks, well, stunned to say the least.
