Kristen Stewart has been given the prestigious honor of landing Elle magazine's September cover.

The 24-year-old is snapped rocking layered Chanel necklaces—which is fitting considering she's currently the face of the fashion house's Paris-Dallas collection—and a metallic low-cut cocktail dress.

K.Stew is also photographed wearing this season's most coveted couture while posing in a grocery store near her hometown in West Hills, Calif.

But it's not all fun and fashion for the brunette star, as she opens up to the women's mag about the pitfalls of fame.

"I feel like if I smiled for a paparazzi photo—not that I ever would—that's exactly what people would be desecrating me for," she said when asked how she handles the pressure of trying to please everyone.

"They'd be like, 'Now you're going to give it up, now you're a sellout.' Like, OK, what do you want? What would you like?"

She also shared that she's never been one to carefully plan out the next phase of her career, opting to take a more spontaneous approach.

"Never at any point have I sat down and plotted how I should proceed from here on. As soon as you start thinking about your career as a trajectory—like, as if you're going to miss out on some wave or momentum—then you're never doing anything for yourself anyway," she said.

"Then you're truly, actually, specifically working for the public. You're turning yourself into a bag of chips."

And speaking of her successful career, K.Stew reveals the first time that she felt the effects of fame from Twilight—and how it forever changed her outlook.

"The day the movie came out there was a picture of me…I was sitting on the front porch, smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and dog. And I was like, Oh s--t, well, I have to be aware of that."

Stewart's Elle issue is available on newsstands nationwide on Aug. 19.
