During an interview with the Valentine in the Morning radio show today, the 37-year-old Coldplay singer made a rare confession about his personal life and his current relationship with his ex.
"The truth is...well, I don't really love talking about this stuff," Martin said. "But the thing we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true. We are very close. We are not together. But we're, you know, that's the truth and that's it."
"You know, there's a lot of love," he added. "No scandal, I'm afraid. I wish I could give you scandal."
Martin and Paltrow announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage back in March in a post titled "Conscious Uncoupling." Their statement read, "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
Meanwhile, Martin revealed today that their kids, Apple and Moses, are obsessed with Ariana Grande and her hit song "Problem." "My kids nail it," he said. "They both sing that very well."
