Well, we all know Beyoncé is nowhere near this list.

The "Drunk in Love" crooner snagged eight (!) nominations for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, and with the huge success surrounding her surprise album release earlier in the year, it makes sense. However, there are a number of big names who also dropped some memorable videos in recent months and did not get recognized.

Britney Spears made her return to music with "Work Bitch," Lady Gaga started a whole movement with ARTPOP, Rihanna proved she can twerk like a stripper in "Pour It Up," Justin Bieber got all cute in "Confident" and One Direction is, well, One Direction, and they released "You & I" earlier this year—but none of them got a nomination for those videos! And they're not the only ones.

Here are 15 videos we were surprised to see snubbed for the 2014 MTV VMAs:

Justin Bieber, "Confident"

Lady Gaga, "Applause"

Britney Spears, "Work Bitch"

One Direction, "You & I"

Jennifer Lopez featuring French Montana, "I Luh Ya Papi"

Bruno Mars, "Gorilla"

Demi Lovato, "Neon Lights"

Mumford & Sons, "Hopeless Wanderer"

A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera, "Say Something"

Nico & Vinz, "Am I Wrong"
