Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner made a surprise appearance at a children's birthday party in Detroit over the weekend.
The duo is currently in town while Affleck films the highly anticipated Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice nearby and stopped by Detroit Kid City with their youngest son on Sunday.
The two wanted to give their 2-year-old, Samuel, a place to hang out when they realized that a children's Superman-themed birthday party had actually taken over the popular play center. Oh, the irony!
It turns out that the birthday boy was stoked about seeing Affleck, and wanted to meet the new Batman.
But, as one might expect, the Afflecks were welcomed with open arms and invited to join in on the festivities.
"I spoke with Ben for 10 or 15 minutes and he was very pleased with the facility. He was very interested in getting a Detroit Kid City out in L.A.," Garrett Dixon of Detroit Kid City told local reporters. "He said they had a blast and will definitely be in contact with us."
Affleck and Garner have been spending a lot of time together while he films the Warner Bros. soon-to-be hit.
In fact, the two recently celebrated their wedding anniversary with a low-key date night at French fusion restaurant Bistro 82 late last month.
