Tracy Morgan Is Going Home! Actor Released From Rehabilitation Center, Will Continue Recovery From Crash Injuries

The news comes soon after the 45-year-old "30 Rock" star sued Wal-Mart, whose driver was involved in the deadly crash

Great news! Tracy Morgan has been released from a rehabilitation center, where he has been recovering from critical injuries sustained in a deadly crash involving a Wal-Mart truck driver, and has been given the all-clear to go home!

A rep for the 45-year-old "SNL" and "30 Rock" actor and comedian announced the news in a statement to E! News on Saturday, July 12. Two days earlier, Morgan and two other passengers sued Wal-Mart over the crash, which killed their friend.

"Tracy has been released from the rehabilitation center and will continue his recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program," the actor's rep said. "He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point.  He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point in his recovery."

On June 7, Morgan was riding in a limo bus with his entourage on a highway in New Jersey when a Wal-Mart semi-truck crashed into it, spurring a six-vehicle pileup. He and several passengers were injured, while another, comedian James McNair, known as Jimmy Mack, 62,  died The actor was treated for a broken leg and ribs and later transferred to a rehabilitation facility to continue his recovery.

His lawsuit states that he has "been incapacitated from pursuing his usual employment and other activities" and "may be left with disabilities" as a result of the deadly crash. A Wal-Mart rep called the incident "a terrible tragedy" and said the retail giant was "committed to doing the right thing for all involved." The driver involved in the crash, Kevin Roper, has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and four counts of assault by auto.
