Robert Downey Jr.'s 20-year-old son is out on bail after being arrested Sunday with felony cocaine possession and drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Indio Falconer Downey was pulled over by police while driving in the West Hollywood-area around 2:20 p.m., the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed to L.A.'s KNBC. Authorities said that Indio, the only person in what officers described as a suspicious vehicle, was allegedly under the influence of drugs when deputies contacted him. He was allegedly found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Indio was arrested on a felony charge and released on $10,250, bail around 12:20 a.m. Monday, E! News confirmed.

Indio's famous father publicly struggled with his own drug addiction until getting sober in 2001. After his son's arrest, Robert, 49, told E! News: "Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it. Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we're all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being.

"We're grateful to the Sheriff's department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale."
