Is Prince William headed back into the pilot seat?

Rumors are swirling that Prince George's papa is thinking about going back to work before presuming his duties as a fulltime royal.

The Duke of Cambridge stepped down from his post as a rescue pilot with the RAF a year ago, just in time for his son's arrival, but is said to be considering a similar position.

Sources tell the Daily Mail that the royal is looking into working with the East Anglian air ambulance service.

Prince William is believed to be taking a transitional year of public service before he starts focusing solely on his responsibilities as a royal and the future King of England.

A Kensington Palace spokesman tells E! News that "The Duke of Cambridge is currently considering his options and an announcement will be made in due course."

It seems like the 31-year-old is doing his best to stay well-rounded before his transitional year ends.

In January, he attended the University of Cambridge for a 10-week-program in agricultural management organized by the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.

The executive education program of seminars, lectures and meetings focused on "the strengths of academics across the university," a palace press release detailed.

The course, which was designed to provide him with "an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom," ended in March.
