Sofía Vergara and fiancé Nick Loeb have split, the Modern Family actress revealed via her WhoSay page today. The couple got engaged in July 2012.
In order to avoid the media frenzy, the Colombian beauty opted to share the news herself, taking to social media to write, "Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart. We have been having too many problems with having to figure out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it's been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now."
Vergara has been busier than ever as of late and is currently shooting on location in New Orleans for her upcoming untitled buddy flick, which also stars Reese Witherspoon. She has seemingly been in good spirits, posting behind-the-scenes pics from the set on her WhoSay page.
The 41-year-old stunner and her now former beau have fought off breakup reports in the past. They were rumored to have split in June 2012, prior to Loeb popping the question, although they later confirmed their relationship status when they stepped out together looking like the picture-perfect couple.
In October 2013, Vergara opened up about her hopes for her nuptials, telling E! News, "We've only been engaged one year and I have to plan a very big wedding, so it's going to be when I have time to not only to plan the wedding, but then take time off after the wedding because it's going to be big."
But in February 2014, she admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that she's been too busy to "even plan anything."
