Watch: Knightley to Celebrate 1-Year Anniversary

Keira Knightley and husband James Righton both remain very much alive.

All's well that ends well, then!

E! News caught up with the petite British star at the Tribeca International Film Festival premiere of Begin Again, costarring Adam Levine as the singer-songwriter who breaks Knightley's heart and sets her off on her own path of personal growth—and all is accompanied by a bunch of original tunes. (If the set-up sounds familiar, Once star Glen Hansard did indeed contribute some of the film's music.)

Asked if her musician hubby helped teach her how to believably play the guitar for the film, Knightley admitted that at least Righton certainly tried.

"He tried to teach me how to play the guitar and I tried not to kill him—so that was about it," joked the actress, clad once again in waist-cinching Chanel. "And he stopped trying to teach me the guitar ‘cause I'm not very good at it."

And Knightley has apparently been so busy lately that she needed us to remind her that her and Righton's first wedding anniversary is coming up. She and the Klaxons artist married in the South of France on May 4 last year. They make their home in London.

"Oh yeah, is it?!" she paused, wide-eyed, when we mentioned the upcoming milestone.

So we asked, of course, how their first year as husband and wife went, and she summed it up excellently. Watch the clip to hear her answer!
