Miley Cyrus was taken to the hospital today, and will therefore not be able to perform in Kansas City tonight.

A source confirms to E! News that Miley has canceled her show at the Sprint Center tonight due to what they call "an absolutely horrible reaction" to medication.

Cyrus' current medical state is not clear, but the singer did tweet to fans apologizing for not being able to give them a show. "Kansas I promise Im as [heartbroken] as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night.  Not being with yall makes me feel s--ttier than I already do," she tweeted.

She followed up with a photo of herself in the hospital bed, writing, "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me."

According to local reports, the release did not say whether the concert would be made up at a later date, but it said ticket holders could get refunds at the point of purchase. People who bought tickets online or on the phone would get automatic refunds.

The 21-year-old singer has been dealing with a number of health issues during her tour lately.

Earlier this month, the pop star came down with the flu and was forced to cancel her concert in Charlotte, and although she was still feeling under the weather, the performer stuck it out and took the stage the night after in Raleigh, N.C.

"She's feeling a little better," a source told E! News of the Bangerz beauty, who has been battling major "throat and sinus" issues.

Feel better, Miley!
