Alexa Ray Joel is doing well following a scary incident over the weekend.

The singer-songwriter collapsed onstage during her sold-out show at the Café Carlyle in New York City on Saturday night.

The daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley fainted midway through her set and was rushed to the emergency room at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she was diagnosed with vasovagal synocope—a condition that  blocks blood from properly flowing to the brain.

E! News has learned that the 28-year-old is resting and recovering and her diagnosis will not require any treatment.

Her rep told the weekly publication that Alexa wasn't feeling well before she took the stage over the weekend.

"Ms. Joel was taken ill earlier in the afternoon and announced from stage that she pulled out her back and neck, but wanted the show to go on."

The singer herself also wanted to reach out and thank her fans for their well wishes.

"I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to support me," Alexa said in a statement.

"I was excited and determined to fulfill my final performance and I really wanted to end my run with a band, but this was not what I had in mind and hope I have the opportunity to make it up to the wonderful audience very soon. Thanks for all the concern."
