Angelina Jolie is trying to put the spotlight on the conflict in Syria.

CNN aired a report on Thursday that revealed that the mother of six, and special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, recently traveled to Bekaa Valley in Lebanon and visited a Syrian refugee camp.

The Oscar winner spent time with an 11-year-old orphaned child named Hala and her five siblings.

"When I met Hala and her brothers and sisters, they had been living in this camp for almost a year," the Unbroken director says. "One year ago, Hala's mother was killed in an airstrike that hit their house."Jolie explains that the children do not know where their father is and is "most likely dead."

The goodwill ambassador is currently in Sarajevo and spoke out against sexual violence occuring during war at a press conference on Friday. The conference was organized by the Bosnian Ministry of Defense and Jolie attended with British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

The duo then paid their respects at a Memorial Center in Potocari.

Before Jolie arrived in Sarajevo, a source exclusively told E! News that the Maleficent actress was treated like royalty in London.

When Jolie made her way to breakfast on Thursday, she had a six-police motorbike envoy as she was taken in a car to Downing Street (10 Downing Street being the home of Prime Minister David Cameron, of course). It was a full-on affair, with traffic being stopped for Brad Pitt's significant other, much in the same way it would normally be done for Queen Elizabeth II.
