Watch: Andrew Rannells Wants Hugh Jackman Naked

If Andrew Rannells gets his way, his character Elijah will snag a boyfriend on the upcoming fourth season of Girls.

And he'd like said beau to be…Hugh Jackman!

"Always and forever it will be Hugh Jackman," Rannells told me at the recent Television Academy's Girls panel.

He'd also like to engage in some guy-on-guy action.

"I volunteered myself for nakedness," Rannells said. "I feel like with Looking on the air, I gotta represent some gay sex on the show. I'm willing."

For those who don't know, Looking is the new HBO series starring Jonathan Groff about three gay best friends living in San Francisco. It was just picked up for a second season.

The Twitterverse has buzzed with the idea of a Girls and Looking crossover with Elijah taking a trip to San Fran.

"There are cute guys [on Looking]," Rannells said. "That Jonathan Groff!...I've known Jonathan for a long time. He looks good. He looks real good."

Rannells was only supposed to do one episode during the third season of Girls, but then his NBC comedy The New Normal was canceled. "Lena Dunham and [executive producer] Jenni Konner called within 45 minutes of that show being canceled and said, 'Just come back. Just come back to us. You always have a place here at Girls,'" he told New York magazine last month. "And I felt so taken care of and protected by them, and very, very lucky to be a part of the show again. So they sort of adjusted some things and shoved me back in the show."
