Anders Holm, you are not the father. Probably.

The Workaholics co-creator and star, who also happens to be a fan favorite guest star on The Mindy Project, has joined the cast of How I Met Your Dad, CBS' highly anticipated How I Met Your Mother spinoff, E! News has confirmed.

So is Holm taking on the role of the father? That doesn't seem likely as he's set to play Gavin, the soon-to-be ex-husband of the sitcom's leading lady Sally, played by Greta Gerwig.

It should be noted that the role of Gavin is recurring, so Workaholics fans can still expect to see Holm get weird on the Comedy Central hit comedy he created with Adam DeVine and Blake Anderson.

Holm's casting was first reported by TVLine.

Centering on a "female Peter Pan" type, How I Met Your Dad focused on the free-spirited Sally, who, along with the help of her friends, will begin her journey toward finding the father of her children, just as her first marriage is ending.

Of the buzzed-about project, Gerwig recently dished to E! News, "It's funny. It shares the heart and soul with the original show, so it has the sweetness and the funniness." In addition to taking on  the lead role, Gerwig will also serve as a writer and executive producer alongside co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas.

Drew Tarver will play Todd, Sally's BFF and brother-in-law, while Smash alum Krysta Rodriguez will play Sally's other BFF, party girl Juliet. Nick D'Agosto (Heroes, Masters of Sex) will play Frank, Juliet's hot nerd of a co-worker, while Andrew Santino will play Danny, Sally's older brother and Todd's husband, though HIMYD is in second position to his ABC sitcom, Mixology, which has not yet been picked up for next season.
