The Internet is angry! Internet smash! Internet yell!

No, the Internet is happy! Internet applaud! Internet defend casting choice!

That was basically what happened on Twitter when Warner Bros. announced that Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's Batman vs. Superman film. It was the biggest reaction to casting news since…well, since Ben Affleck was announced as the new Batman. Most people thought Jesse was too young (even though he's the same age as Henry Cavill, who plays Superman) or was just too wrong for the role. Others loved the bold choice and leapt to Oscar-nominated actor's defense.

People Who Think This Is the Worst Casting Ever

People Who Think This Is the Best Casting Ever

People Who Wanted Other Actors Cast as Lex Luthor (Mostly Bryan Cranston)

And Finally, People Who Think This Casting Is Questionable…but at Least It's Better Than Ben Affleck as Batman
