The 76-year-old actor hilariously surprised the Academy Award winner backstage last year when he suddenly crashed her interview with Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos after she took home the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
A stunned Lawrence couldn't hide her shock as Jack jumped into the conversation, telling the Hunger Games star she "looked like an old girlfriend" before adding, "I'll be waiting!"
And turns out, he wasn't kidding about his affections for the short-haired beauty, as he proceeded to send Jen gifts and a sweet note after their initial interaction although they have yet to speak since their fateful encounter.
"He's sent me flowers and a bottle of Cristal and a note that said 'Missing you already.' Not to brag," Jen revealed during an interview with ABC News. "I should've probably kept that a secret so it could just be between me and Jack."
No word yet whether the twosome will rub elbows at this year's Academy Awards, but with Lawrence already generating Oscar buzz for her role in American Hustle, there's a good chance we may see the duo have another hilarious show-down (Nicholson presented the award for Best Picture last year).
Of course, The Shining star isn't Lawrence's only famous fan. Julia Roberts most recently said J.Law is "too cool" to be America's Sweetheart while her Silver Linings costar Bradley Cooper told CNN Jennifer is "incredible. I've been so lucky to do two movies with her back-to-back...She's the best. I feel like I got in on the ground floor. I'll be lucky if I work with her again."
