Paul Walker will soon be laid to rest.

E! News can confirm that a funeral is being planned for this weekend by the fallen star's close friends and family.

This comes one day after the Fast and the Furious actor's remains were released from the Los Angeles County Coroner's office and transported to a local mortuary.

"All of the funeral details are still being worked out," a source told us.

E! News reported last week that Walker's costar and good pal Tyrese Gibson was helping the family put together funeral arrangements.

According to an insider, Tyrese met with both Walker's mother and father on Dec. 1 to discuss what steps the family will take.

The source also told E! News that Walker's teenage daughter, Meadow, is coping as best as she can with the tragic loss of her famous father.

"She is doing OK and as well as can be expected," the insider said. "She is a little lost right now and is spending a lot of time with her close friends."

Walker and his friend Roger Rodas passed away on Nov. 30 after getting into a car accident during the actor's charity event in Valencia, Calif.

On Sunday, thousands of fans and car enthusiasts headed to the crash site for an unofficial memorial rally and car cruise.

According to the Los Angeles Times, mourners also gathered around the makeshift memorial and placed "hundreds of flowers" where their 2005 Porsche Carrera GT crashed.
