Britney Spears is so in loooooove.
The Princess of Pop sat down with E! News' Jason Kennedy for an exclusive interview, and the songstress explained that her new album Britney Jean is one of her most personal projects yet because of the recent breakup that inspired some of her songs.
"I went through a breakup earlier in the year, so that was kind of like more therapeutic for me than anything to write about breaking up with someone," Spears said. "But I think it's good for the fans, because they can feel like they can relate on some level to me if they've had breakups and they listen to it."
However, it didn't take too long before Brit Brit found love again with her boyfriend David Lucado. So what about her beau caught her eye?
"He's just a simple guy. He's funny. He's passionate. He loves what he does for a living. He's just a good guy. He's a really good person," she tells E! News, and mentions that she doesn't let her fame interfere with trying to find true love. "I really don't think about it like that…if I see somebody I like and we hit it off, I don't think about it too much, you know about the situation that I'm in. I just kind of feel it out and foliow my heart."
Spears doesn't want her fame to intimidate any gift-giving, either. The singer, who just celebrated her 32nd birthday, tells us that when it comes to getting her a present, "anything" will do. "I'm all about thoughtful gifts. If you put thought behind it—it could be $5—but if there's thought behind it, I think that's what matters."
