A recently published style book, an Eyeko makeup line, a L'Oréal campaign—2013 has been a stellar year for Alexa  Chung, and the It Girl shows no signs of slowing down despite the fact that the year is wrapping up!

In fact, Longchamp has just announced the Brit babe as the new face of its spring 2014 campaign.

Just in time for the brand's upcoming 20th anniversary of its Le Pliage bag, Chung jetted off to Saint-Tropez to show off a rainbow array of the classic bag during a Max Vadanul-lensed shoot.

Proving she hasn't lost her knack for modeling, Chung's carefree sophisticated style makes us want to tag along to the exotic location—clad in the crisp white shorts, luxe leather coat and the chic handbags she's hawking, of course.

And if you, like us, think the shots have a cinematic quality to them, that's because the leggy lady will also star in a short film for Lonchamp, which the brand will unveil during New York Fashion Week.

Chung follows in the footsteps of one of fashion's other It Girls, none other than Kate Moss, as the face of Longchamp.

And though the 30-year-old has never starred in a handbag campaign, British brand Mulberry named a wildly successful carryall after her, which flew off the shelves. We're guessing the influence her name carries may have had something to do with Longchamp tapping her for its ads.

What do you think of Alexa's new campaign?
