Mark Wahlberg is giving us an update on his plans to make a basketball movie with pal Justin Bieber.

"We got a script and it's really good," the 42-year-old actor told us exclusively last night at the Hollywood premiere of his new film Lone Survivor.

"It's just there's a lot of other stuff going on," he continued. "He's got a lot going on, I got a lot going on. So maybe, hopefully, we'll get it done. Maybe we'll get it done with him and somebody else in some other form. We'll see what happens."

Wahlberg first told us about his Bieber movies plans in August of last year. "We got a first draft," he told us. "They did an edit on the script and got to make some changes and do a little bit of rewrite and polish, but I've been in contact with [Justin's] managers and the studio a lot. We just want to make it great and we're getting there."

In the film, the Biebs would portray the role of a young basketball player. "I think of Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in The Color of Money, but in the world of inner city basketball," Wahlberg explained.

And in April of this year, Wahlberg admitted to us he was still waiting to "see if schedules will allow" the project to come to fruition.

In case you haven't been following Bieber's busy life, he's been touring the globe for over half a year on his world tour (and getting into some trouble along the way). Meanwhile, Wahlberg is promoting his new war flick Lone Survivor, prepping to produce the Entourage movie and working on a reality TV show with his brother Donnie Wahlberg.
