In our honest opinion, there isn't much that would make AMC's Saul Goodman spinoff better. Oh, wait. Yes, there is!

Creator and mastermind Vince Gilligan revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the Breaking Bad spinoff series that will center on Bob Odenkirk's seedy lawyer character might have cameos from your favorite Albuquerque gang. Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, along with other Breaking Bad castmembers, have told Gilligan they want to appear in Better Call Saul.

"Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then," he said.

Gilligan doesn't want to lean on cameos from beloved characters like Jesse Pinkman and Walter White, but he is aware that follow-ups to beloved TV series can crash and burn terribly and become a cautionary tale.

"There's obviously a danger inherent in doing a spinoff, but I just love the character of Saul Goodman so much, and part of me doesn't want to say no to this world," he said about the prequel.

And though Saul was always the comedic relief in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul (tenative title) will not be a comedy, even it was originally conceived as a 30-minute sitcom.

"We're both one-hour drama guys," he said, adding that it's going to be shot in the same visual style as Breaking Bad. "So we figured, 'Why not shoot Saul in the same way?' Let's shoot it in Albuquerque, let's get as much of the crew back together as possible, and let's do it the way we did it before so that it will be of a piece with that pre-existing fictional universe that we had so much fun creating."

AMC announced plans for Better Call Saul back in early September. According to the network, the spinoff will focus on the "evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character before he ever became Walter White's lawyer."
