Here's some news to really howl over!

Teen Wolf has been renewed for a fourth season by MTV, the network announced on Saturday. The series, which returns on Jan. 6, attracted its series-best ratings over the summer, with the first half of the third season averaging 2.8 million viewers and 2.5 ratings in the 12-34 demo.

The fourth season will debut in 2014 with 12 episodes. The network also announced a new weekly talk show Wolf Watch that will air after  each new Teen Wolf episode when it returns to finish out its buzzed-about third season.

Hosted by former Teen Wolf star Jill Wagner, who played Kate Argent, Wolf Watch will be a half-hour of wolf fun for fans, providing insight into the popular series. Plus, it will feature guest appearances by the cast, such as Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien, who will share behind-the-scenes scoop.

When season three kicks off in January, fans can expect a new mythology to be introduced on the series: "We're heading into a new mythology based on the Kitsune myth, which some people might know a little bit about," executive producer Jeff Davis teased. "It is a very, very fascinating Japanese shapeshifter myth about the were-fox and the trickster spirit."

Part of that new mythology? Arden Cho, who will be playing the new student Kira that brings along some secrets when she comes to Beacon Hills.
