We're not the only ones who are excited for the upcoming release of Britney Spears' new album.

"Britney's record is fresh," will.i.am., who's serving as executive producer on the pop star's eighth studio album, told E! News Thursday morning in New York where this year's AMA nominations were announced. "There's a lot of personal, sultry songs, as well as grit and edge and oomph."

The twosome previously collaborated together on the mega-hit "Scream and Shout," and 31-year-old singer was also spotted putting in time at will.i.am.'s studio in August.

"I'm really really proud of her and her dedication and how disciplined and focused she was in the studio," he continued. "And how passionate she is to win."

The Black Eyed Peas bandmember also dished on BritBrit's upcoming two-year Las Vegas residency, which begins at Planet Hollywood in December.

"I can't wait for her Vegas shows to open. I want to go there and support, perform with her," he gushed before adding, "This record, in my opinion, is going to be one of her best records."

Spears most recently released the highly-anticipated music video for her single "Work Bitch," which features the pop princess showing off her banging bod in a handful of barely-there outfits while the singer and her incredibly fierce back-up dancers show us all how to werk.

And if the rest of the album is anything the like the hit tune, then we're sure we have lots to look forward to from the pop icon.

But BritBrit's new record was the only topic that got Will.i.am. talking—he was also asked whether he would ever join Miley Cyrus onstage for her upcoming performance at the AMAs.

"It all depends what she needs me for," he said. "I'm not going to wear one of them bear costumes."
