The makeup story at Hervé Léger Spring 2014 was that of a Polynesian beach goddess: Models took to the runway sporting subtle glows, peach-pink lips and slicked back coifs.

It was a look that certainly complemented the collection: Hervé Léger's spring show featured plays on the brand's famous bodycon dress, including zippered frocks with exaggerated hips and sexy caped bikinis. The line is a red carpet favorite for celebs, a fact that translated to the star-studded front row: Singer Nicki Minaj and actress Katie Cassidy had prime seats for the presentation.

While Sephora makeup artist Val Garland created a beauty look centered on bronze skin and glistening lips, the eye makeup also stood out—models showcased bold black eyeliner to match the clean lines of the clothing.

Lubov Azria, who heads the brand with her husband (and BCBG honcho) Max Azria, caught up with E's own Giuliana Rancic before the show to discuss the spring collection's influences.

"Well, Hervé Léger is known for its iconic dresses so this season we wanted to bring something new, something different," she said. "We're showing a lot of separates, sportswear pieces in the beginning. Our inspiration was Polynesian body art and then [a] functional urban mood."

"We decided to use zippers for the first time—we already have a signature zipper in the back—but now we're putting them everywhere. So now they're almost like transformable," Azria explained. "The whole first part of the show is about transformational, age-old dresses."

To get the bronzed beauty look seen at Hervé Léger, follow these simple steps:

1. Massage a primer, like Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil, into skin to prep your face for makeup. Lightly coat the end of your brush with bronzer and apply to areas that will contour the face: your forehead, cheekbones and along the jawline.

2. Create a smoky eye with a cream-based black liner and dark eyeshadow. For a blended effect, apply the liner with a stipple (short stroke) motion. Use a brush like the Sephora Collection Pro Visionary Lash Fan Brush #220 to define and lengthen your bottom lashes.

3. Apply a sheer nude lip gloss over nude lipstick to enhance your lips' natural color while providing a satiny hint of shine.
