While it was recently revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton would be attending the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards on Sept. 12, Kensington Palace announced on Thursday, Aug. 29, that Prince George's dad will now be making a short speech at the event as well.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be the guests of honor at the ceremony, which marks the first year a top conservationist will be the recipient of the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa.

The honor recognizes outstanding dedication and exceptional contribution to conservation in Africa. The recipient of this award will be presented with a specially commissioned trophy by William himself.

William became Patron of Tusk in December 2005. The conservation charity aims to secure a peaceful coexistence for Africa's wildlife and its people.

He has actively supported the charity's work both privately and publicly on many occasions.
