Days of Our Lives alum Maree Cheatham has been cast to play the grandmother of Jaime King's Lemon Breeland in an upcoming episode of Hart of Dixie when it returns for its third season this October, we've exclusively learned. And it seems like Lemon inherited her strong and take-charge personality from her grandmother!
Fans of the CW charmer will be meeting Grandma Bettie Breeland, Brick's feisty mother who packs a lot of punch and is a pillar of the Southern Belles, when she ends up paying her granddaughter a visit to help preserve the Breeland name. Two Breeland women teaming up? Watch out, Bluebell!
In addition to her time as Marie Horton on Days of Our Lives, Cheatham is known for her appearances on shows such as Dexter, The League and Passions,as well as the films Beetlejuice, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Wedding Singer. She currently plays Nona, Cat's (Ariana Grande) grandmother on Nickelodeon's new hit series Sam & Cat.
Grandma Breeland isn't the only new face fans will be seeing in Bluebell this season as we exclusively reported that One Tree Hill's Robert Buckley has been cast as a a sweet, ordinary guy who is just passing through town and ends up being a love interest for Lemon.
Hart of Dixie's third season premiers Monday, Oct. 7 on the CW.
