It's been a big weekend for Katy Cats!

Prior to Katy Perry's epic performance of her hit single "Roar" at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, the singer released two samples of her upcoming tracks off from her forthcoming album Prism.

Titled "Dark Horse" and "Walking On Air," the songs were chosen by Perry's loyal fans, who were given the opportunity via social media to hear an early snippet of two of the songs and pick one track to be released more than a month before Perry's record drops Oct. 22.

"So what's it gonna be kids?! #WalkingOnAirNow or #DarkHorseNow? VOTE to hear the NEXT song off of PRISM @ http://pepsi.mtv.com," the 28-year-old singer tweeted Friday morning.

"!!!HEY!!! HEAR 2 NEW 30 SECOND SONG SNIPPETS FROM #PRISM NOW & VOTE WHICH ONE COMES OUT 1ST ON ITUNES SEPT 17TH!" she enthusiastically added, clarifying that the song "will not necessarily" be the next single, but will give fans a "taste of what Prism has in store."

While both tunes are quintessential Katy tracks, "Walking On Air" is a faster, more upbeat song, which will undoubtedly become a staple on the dance floor.

"Dark Horse" begins with Katy sweetly singing, "So you wanna play with magic. Boy, you should know whatcha fallin' for. Baby do you dare to do this because I'm coming at you like a dark horse," as the beat builds into a high-energy techno sound, followed by a robot voice saying "There's no going back" just before the drop.

Last night, Katy revealed fans voted for "Dark Horse," announcing the song will be released as part of the Prism pre-order Sept. 17.

"YO what a day! #ROAR-ing @ the #VMAs, Tweeting w/POTUS, & now happy to announce U chose #DARKHORSE FT @therealjuicyj to come out Sept 17th!"

Perry  also dished to E! News at the VMAs about her rumored "feud" with Lady Gaga, insisting the two talented ladies have nothing but love for each other.

"I don't have beef with her at all," Perry revealed. "Actually, I met Gaga in the very beginning, and we've both kind of come up at the same time and I like both the Monsters and the Katy Cats, and I like the Monster Cats too."

Happy to hear that's settled.
