When we think of fall, we anticipate chillier temperatures, vibrant autumn leaves, back to school excitement, delicious pumpkin lattes…and oh yes, the best fashion magazine issues of the year.

That's right, ask any fashionista and she'll tell you that the September issue of all of the top glossy publications isn't one to miss, thanks to the pages (and pages!) of heart-stopping fashion and beauty trends, covetable must-have pieces and stunning cover girls.

Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and Drew Barrymore are just a few of the heavy hitters who landed themselves a prime cover on an all-important issue this year.

All in all, each publication packed in seriously stylish content to sink our teeth into, and we couldn't help but spread the love.

Here's a rundown of the highlights from our favorite issues:

Vogue: The most massive issue we may have ever seen, the fashion bible boasts "902 pages of fabulous fall fashion" on the cover, with Jennifer Lawrence coyly resting her chin on her hand with a ‘come hither' stare. The Hunger Games actress wears a glen-plaid Calvin Klein Collection top, with tousled hair and makeup by Cover Girl. Inside the spread, Lawrence pulls off striking ensembles by Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren Collection, Rochas, Prada and more all shot at Cornelia Guest's Templeton Estate in Old Westbury, NY. In a word: Stunning!

NEWS: Kate Upton flashes bra in sheer dress—see the pics!

Elle: Blond bombshell Kate Upton sizzles on the cover in a curve-hugging red neoprene dress by Lanvin, accessorized with dazzling baubles by David Yurman. "Kate had fun listening to Daft Punk and playing around on set," said the magazine's assistant fashion editor Sarah Schussheim. We also heard that Kate couldn't help raving about her horse, Robbie. As for the the issue, Elle declares this one as their "biggest fashion issue…ever!" and is filled to the brim with runway beauty trends and endless pages of fall's best shoes, moto jackets, knit sweaters, full skirts, tuxedo jackets and more.

InStyle: Drew Barrymore graced the cover of the fall issue looking timeless and elegant in a Marc Jacobs ensemble paired with Chanel and Bulgari jewels. L.A.'s  Milk Studios played host to the cover shoot, as did a French mansion in Beverly Hills. At the shoot, Barrymore requested a playlist that included "Until We Bleed" by Lykke Li and Kleerup and brought a bottle of her own Barrymore Wines pinot grigio to toast the crew after they wrapped. InStyle's fashion department came prepared with 10 racks of clothing, 130 pairs of shoes, 65 clutches and 60 pairs of gloves for the star. Her makeup was flawless thanks to her own Flower Beauty product line, which was used on set. She was most enthusiastic about a new lip color called Baby Buttercup. "As a girl, I'm dying for a light pink lip that's flattering and it's hard to come by."

Lucky: With new editor-in-chief Eva Chen spearheading this issue, we eagerly ripped into the ‘zine featuring beautiful Blake Lively in a Gucci coat on the cover. The star modeled a range of luxe looks styled by the legendary Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. "It was very different than any other shoot I've ever done before because I was wearing clothes I wouldn't normally pick, but I was in the hands of such icons in the fashion world. It's nothing that I would ever put together, but it looked pretty cool," Lively said in a behind-the-scenes video, emphasizing how important her personal style is in her everyday life.

Marie Claire: Zooey Deschanel got all dolled up for the September issue, modeling a gorgeous variety of designer looks from Saint Laurent, Valentino, Chanel and more inside the editorial spread. As for the actual photo shoot, the New Girl actress arrived at the studio wearing a dark blue Sandro peacoat, Escada skirt, Tommy Hilfiger blouse and Chanel cross-body bag before, and slipped in and out of her own Chanel cream-and-black cap-toe Chanel ballet flats in between looks to alleviate her feet from high heel pain. As for mood music, Deschanel requested the Buddy Holly station on Pandora to keep her spirits up throughout the day.

Glamour: For this cover shoot, Jennifer Aniston flaunted her figure in a sexy Narcisco Rodriguez black dress that showed off her toned arms and legs. The star posed like a pro on set in Beverly Hills, wearing classic designer pieces including a cozy Stella McCartney cardigan and a backless Valentino jumpsuit that fit her perfectly. Her mane man Chris McMillan styled her hair with Living Proof products (of course!) and makeup artist Angela Levin worked her magic with Chanel products for a flawless finish.
