Here's one less thing for Simon Cowell to worry about.

A source close to Lauren and Andrew Silverman confirms to E! News that a settlement in the couple's divorce was reached earlier today.

"As I've said all along, my priority was resolving this quickly for the sake of our son," Andrew Silverman said in a statement. "Lauren and I both love him very much and I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives. Hopefully people will respect our family's privacy."

Lauren's attorneys, Robert S. Cohen and Bernard Clair say, "The matter has been resolved and the parties have moved on."

The pair reportedly agreed to some form of joint custody over their 7-year-old son, who will live in New York City. It was also reported that Lauren Silverman received a little over $2 million in the settlement.

Prior an agreement being reached on how much money Lauren would walk away with, E! News learned that the terms of their prenuptial agreement might have been affected since the couple celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary.

"Right now, they're negotiating how much she will walk away with. By staying wed to Andrew past June 22—the 10-year mark on the marriage—the terms of the prenup become a lot more favorable to her," a source had told us.

A few weeks ago, the world found out that Cowell was going to be a dad and his baby mama was the estranged wife of longtime friend Andrew Silverman, who named the top-earning TV personality as a co-respondent in his divorce filing.

"Andrew considered Simon a real friend. At the end of the day, [Lauren] is pregnant by a man who's not her husband…There's really no defending it," an insider told E! News.

"I am committed to sorting things out with Andrew as amicably as possible to ensure the well-being of our son," Lauren Silverman said in a statement on Aug. 1. "I would hope for some space and privacy in order to work through this."

Meanwhile, Cowell has stayed mum on the situation, with his only response to the baby news being, "Sorry. Unfortunately, I have to keep this private for the moment. It's just one of those things, but thank you anyway."

Lauren and Andrew Silverman are due back in court next week.
