Prince Charles already has a royally adorable nickname for his grandson: Prince Georgie!

While out and about at the Whitstable Oyster Festival in Kent, England with wife Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William's father reportedly deemed the royal baby's name George Alexander Louis a "very good name," adding that Will and Kate Middleton's son will be called "Georgie in no time."

During the festival, Charles indulged in tasting some oysters and locals congratulated him on the birth of his grandson. Camilla reportedly declined any oysters, saying, "I love them, but I ate a bad one once."

Charles sported a crisp gray suit for one of his first outings since the birth of the royal baby. Last Thursday, Charles told local media, "It's fun to be a grandfather." "I think it's wonderful news," Camilla also told reporters. "Mother, son, father are all doing well, and I think it's a wonderfully uplifting moment for the country."

As we reported last week, Charles has a long connection to the name George. He's long admitted to admiring King George III, who ruled England from 1760 to 1820. Charles once said in a British TV documentary, "George III led Britain through 60 years of enormous social upheaval, industrial revolution and terrible hardships inflicted by war with Napoleon. Yet history remembered him above all as the 'mad king' or the 'king who lost America.' This is a travesty."

Prince George was born exactly one week ago today on Monday, July 22 at 4:24 p.m. local time. Kate, Will and their newborn left the Lindo Wing of London's St. Mary' hospital the very next day. Kate and George are currently resting up at her parents' home in Bucklebury.

"Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild," Charles said in a statement last Monday. "It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy. Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone's life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future."
