Breaking news: Breaking Bad's Walter White is a big ol' softie.
Well, at least Bryan Cranston is, but he's just that good that it's sometimes hard for us to distinguish the actor from the character. What's not hard to for us to see is just how much Cranston has enjoyed working on the AMC hit series, which begins its final season on Aug. 11, and the proof is literally on his body as he commemorated his time on the show with a show-inspired tattoo!
"It's the 'Br Ba' logo. And someone said, 'If you put it there no one can see it,' and no one can see it," Cranston told E! News' Will Marfuggi at Breaking Bad's premiere party on Wednesday night while showing off his new ink. "And I said, 'I can see it.' So every once in a while I catch a glimpse of it and I see that logo from Breaking Bad and it makes me smile."
But not every cast member decided not to participate in the Breaking Bad tattoo party as Cranston's on-screen wife Anna Gunn revealed, "I did not [get one]. I was not around for the tattoo day. I think that's a good thing because had I been around I'm sure I would have one on the back of my ankle or the back of something else!"
And it seems like Gunn won't get the chance to change her mind as series creator Vince Gilligan told us fans shouldn't expect a Breaking Bad reunion or movie anytime soon. "Never say never, but I'm not picturing that. I'm picturing this being it," he said.
However, he did have some good news for fans clamoring for a spinoff centering on a fan favorite character, spilling, "I'm very much hoping that we wind up with a Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) spinoff."
He continued, "I'm hoping the Saul Goodman show becomes a reality. I would love to see that happen. I'm a major fan of Bob Odenkirk and of the character."
And Gilligan teased that the possibilities for the potential spinoff are endless, explaining, "It could be continuing on at a time after the ending of Breaking Bad or it could be going back in time to before Breaking Bad started."
Breaking Bad's final season kicks off Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
