Goldie Hawn Tweets About Arrival of Granddaughter Rio, Oliver Hudson's Third Child

Veteran actress' eldest son and his wife welcome baby girl to their ever-expanding brood

Goldie Hawn's a grandmother again!

The Hollywood funnylady took to Twitter to break the good news that her son, actor Oliver Hudson, and his wife, Erinn Bartlett, are celebrating the arrival of their third bundle of joy, daughter Rio.

"Welcome Rio! Our first baby girl to join our family! @theoliverhudson and Erinn thank you for bringing so much JOY to our lives! #happiness," the 67-year-old Hawn tweeted.

The Rules of Engagement star is the veteran thesp's first child from her marriage to musician Bill Hudson and is the older brother of actress Kate Hudson.

 

He and his missus, who appeared in such flicks as Raising Helen and Rumor Has It…, tied the knot in June 2006 and have two boys, 5-year-old Wilder and 3-year-old Bodhi.

Rio's birth brings Hawn's grandkid tally to five—three from Oliver and 9-year-old Ryder and 2-year-old Bingham from Kate.

Congrats to the happy family!

As for Goldie, she continues to be in a long-term relationship with former Swing Shift costar Kurt Russell, with whom she has a son, Wyatt. Russell also has another son, Boston, from his previous marriage.

Hawn's last acting gig was 2002's The Banger Sisters, after which she's been putting much of her time into The Hawn Foundation, which she created to teach the Buddhist technique of mindfulness to children.
