When you have it all, you attract some haters. And that's the thing about Gwyneth Paltrow: She's involved in so many different projects, and everything she touches turns to gold. Oh, and she's rich, famous, gorgeous and People mag's "Most Beautiful Woman in the World" this year. So yeah, some folks may be just a bit jealous.

But the peanut gallery hardly slows down the A-list star, who's got her hands in movies, music and digital and print media—all while balancing parenthood with her rock star husband Chris Martin.

Hollywood Beginnings:
Born in L.A., Gwyneth is the daughter of the actress Blythe Danner and the late honcho producer and director Bruce Paltrow—so it's fair to say she was born into the biz.

She started her career in acting on the stage in 1990.

Movie Career:
Gwyneth started getting attention for her acting in such early films as 1991's Hook, 1995's creepy Se7en and 1996's acclaimed Emma.

But it was in 1998 that the world began to take serious notice in Gwynnie for her role in Shakespeare in Love—for which she scooped up a Golden Globe, SAG Awards—and an itty bitty trophy known as an Oscar for Best Actress.

The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Royal Tenenbaums were among the major credits to follow.

Music and TV:
The woman with the perfect face and the perfect bod also has an amazing singing voice, naturally. She debuted as a singer way back in 2000's Duets. And in 2010, she appeared in the movie Country Strong—and sang a song from that flick at the Oscars.

The actress has appeared in Glee as a huge fan favorite, singing hits from the musical Chicago and a mashup of Rihanna's "Umbrella" and "Singin' in the Rain"—plus a version of Cee Lo Green's "Forget You." (Did you love it?!) She later reprised the hit with Green at the Grammys.

Digital and Print Media:
It would hardly be very Gwyneth-like to conquer film, TV and music and call it a day for media domination. Nope, in 2008, she also launched her lifestyle weekly lifestyle newsletter called Goop, with the stated mission "to share all of life's positives."

She's also got several cookbooks under her bespoke belt—a Spanish book cowritten with Mario Batali, and her own My Father's Daughter and It's All Good.

Endorsements and Philanthropy:
With past endorsements including Estée Lauder, Max Factor and Coach, you can bet the star collected hefty sums.

But she's not one to think only of her personal wealth. Gwyneth also spends considerable time on philanthropic pursuits, having worked with Save the Children, New York's Robin Hood Foundation and others.

Why She's an Innovator:
From her start as an actress, Gwyneth has rocketed to fame and success throughout multiple media platforms. It's for her triumphs in front of the camera, online and in print that the Goop makes our list of pop innovators.
