Love is in the air!

Bell was so excited by today's monumental news about gay marriage that she proposed to her fiancé, Dax Shepard, via Twitter.

Upon learning that the Supreme Court had ruled that the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional, Bell gleefully posted the following message to her beau: "@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove"

Bell also tweeted her support for today's ruling, saying, "You're damn right DOMA is unconstitutional!! #equalitymatters"

While Shepard has yet to directly respond to the romantic proposal, he did hint that his wedding to the loveable actress is in the near future with the following tweet: "DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let's bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!"

The adorable couple has been engaged since 2010 and have been public with their decision to withhold from marrying until their gay friends were able to as well.

Bell told CNN, "I don't believe in standing in the way of love and I want to stand up for that right."

She added, "We're not going to have a party when half of our friends…can't do that thing we're doing. We're not goig to ask them to come celebrate a right they don't have. That's just tacky!"

Bell and Shepard welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lincoln, in March of this year.

The new mama is currently shooting the film adaptation of Veronica Mars, which raised a staggering $2 million on Kickstarter.

The campaign was the largest in Kickstarter's history, and shattered the record for the fastest project to reach $1 million in donations.

And good news for the show's biggest fans was just announced today. Ken Marino has signed on to return to the cast as Vinnie Van Lowe, Mars' rival private investigator and possible Neptune sheriff.

Creator Rob Thomas announced the news in an email to Kickstarter backers, saying, "I'm...pleased to confirm that Ken Marino will be returning as Veronica and Keith's would-be competition, Vinnie Van Lowe."

Thomas also confirmed that Martin Starr, who starred in Freaks and Geeks and Party Down, will be in the film as well as the new role of Lou "Cobb" Cobbler.

The Veronica Mars movie is slated to hit the big screens in 2014.
