Bros before witches! (Or at least alongside them...Right?)

That's what we find ourselves chanting after chatting up Zachary Quinto regarding his whereabouts on American Horror Story's season three.

Though the fan favorite still has not been approached to appear in Coven, which centers around witches, Quinto tells us he's "always open to it."

"I'm actually going to do a play on Broadway in the fall," the 36-year-old explains, referring to The Glass Menagerie. "But the nature of [American Horror Story] is such that I'm sure [executive producer] Ryan [Murphy] could call and say, 'Could you fly down on your day off and do one episode?' And if he does, I would always be open to that. But we haven't had any conversations. So as of now I'm not planning  to be a part of it."

[Sad trombone.]

[Played by a sad panda.]

The upside? Season three (which begins shooting next month in New Orleans), has a decidedly fierce female cast including the return of Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe, as well as newcomers Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti Lupone, Emma Roberts and Kathy Bates.

"A lot of really wonderful actresses really want to do it," Paulson tells us, "and I think it's a real testament to Ryan and the rest of the writers on our show. Ryan's really a person who writes for women. So once you get wind of that, everyone wants to jump on board."

As for what else is happening in season three, Paulson can tell you "absolutely nothing without shooting you in the neck with a dart of death serum."

So...we'll just let that one go. Nothing to see here.

Will you miss Zachary Quinto on AHS?
