Don't worry, Ryan Murphy has a bunch of shows to fall back on.

NBC announced today that will not be renewing The New Normal for season two.

The comedy, which revolved around a gay couple (Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells) who adopt a baby through a surrogate, was not the ratings runaway the peacock network hoped for after pairing it with Go On on Tuesday nights. Go On's cancellation was announced Friday morning.

New Normal fans can at least rest easy that they got a suitable wrap up to the story, with Goldie (Georgia King) giving birth and Brian and David getting hitched in the series finale.

NBC gave out a piece of good news today by renewing Community for a fifth (and likely final) season.
