It's ABC's turn to play the pilot pickup game and Avengers fans are gonna want to assemble!

The network has picked up Joss Whedon's buzzed-about series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., an Avengers TV spinoff (minus any of the heroes).

So who from the mega-hit film will be appearing in the series? And what exactly is it about? We've got you covered, plus we know when and where you can get  your first look at Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

The action drama centers on S.H.I.E.L.D. (Stragetic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistic Directorate), the peace-keeping organization headed by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in Marvel's films

Set to star in the series from Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen are Ming-Na, Clark Gregg and Elizabeth Henstridge. Yes, Clark Gregg aka Agent Coulson, who "died" in The Avengers. Coulson Lives, y'all!

ABC will air a special first look at the new series this Sunday during Once Upon a Time's season two finale.
