Let pilot pickup season officially begin!

Fox is the first network to announce pilot orders, announcing four dramas that they've greenlit in addition to Seth MacFarlane's Dads comedy pilot, which already received a six-episode order.

Among the four drama pickups? A new series from J.J. Abrams (Does he ever sleep?!), Greg Kinnear's big broadcast TV debut and a modern retelling of Sleepy Hollow. Plus, fan favorites from Lost and Friday Night Lights are set to make their returns to the small screen in the network's new projects...

Almost Human: Abrams reteams with Fringe's J.H. Wyman and Bryan Burk on this buddy cop show set in a future where all LAPD officers are paired with human-like androids. Set to star in the series are Star Trek's Karl Urban, Friday Night Lights' Minka Kelly and Lili Taylor.

Gang Related: Lost's Terry O'Quinn, Charlie's Angels' Ramon Rodriguez and Nashville's Jay Hernandez star in The Shield's Scott Rosenbaum's drama about a gang member tasked with infiltrating the San Francisco Police Department, where he eventually ends up on the Gang Task Force. Naturally, his loyalties are soon tested.

Rake: Making his broadcast TV debut, Kinnear stars as a brilliant but self-destructive criminal defense lawyer in this legal drama based on the Australian series of the same title.

Sleepy Hollow: From Fringe executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, this modern-day retelling of Washington Irving's classic tale finds Icabod Crane (Tom Mison) time-traveling two and a half centuries and teaming with a police officer to save humanity. Nicole Beharie and Orlando Jones also star.

On the comedy side of things, we're hearing Andy Samberg's Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which co-stars Andre Braugher and centers on diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct, is looking like a lock. We're also hearing the network liked Cougar Town executive producer Kevin Biegel's comedy Enlisted, which stars Geoff Stults and centers on three brothers working together in the Army at a small base in Florida.

Pilots that Fox passed on include Felicity Huffman's Boomerang and an adaptation of the popular young adult book series Delirium, which starred Emma Roberts.
