Getting ready for the Met Gala takes a team effort.
Luckily, if you've got Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa and Marie Claire senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi on your side—like Ashley Greene did—you're bound to hit a glam slam.
That is exactly what the Twilight star did on Monday night and all it took was switching up her angelic style to for a grungier glamour.
"I like the idea of going dark, because I usually wear a lot of light, pretty, airy dresses," she explained at her fitting. "I definitely want to something that makes a huge statement since this is the one place you can do it."
So how did she think she looked after trying on the dress? Like a "really dark princess!" Of course, royalty gets the very best accessories, which is why Ashley topped off her look with Christian Louboutin peep-toes and Harry Winston jewels worth an estimated $1 million.
"I don't care if they are competing [with the dress] I'm wearing them!" she joked.
