Heidi Klum is feeling like a pretty lucky mom right about now.

The 39-year-old supermodel spoke to E! News today about last week's scary incident in Hawaii when she ended up rescuing her and Seal's 7-year-old son, Henry, from drowning after he got caught in a rip current.

"Henry was great. One second everything was fine, and the next second the wave came and swept him in—it happened like that," said Klum, snapping her fingers. "And he knew what to do. He kind of went under and swam out. It took like four seconds and he was out. I just had to take him and grab him and yank him out."

The Project Runway star and her bodyguard and boyfriend, Martin Kristen, also helped pull to safety her two nannies after the strong wave swept them out to sea as well.

"You know the grown-ups, they have a harder time, they could not so they need a bit more help," she added.

But lucky for Heidi her son and all her kids are pretty strong swimmers to begin with.

"My son is a fantastic swimmer, I'm really proud of him, proud of all my kids," she told E! News. "They all started swimming when they were 2 years old and they know the safety about how to react and not freak out."

Klum was in Manhattan for the New York City auditions for her new TV gig America's Got Talent. The German-born beauty added that her kids are "big fans" of the show and excited to see her at the judges'  table alongside Howard Stern, Mel B and Howie Mandel.
