Melissa King, the former Miss Delaware Teen USA who turned in her crown after she was identified—mistakenly, she maintains—as the star of an amateur porn video that surfaced online, has been offered a real shot at XXX stardom.
Adult-video catchall YouPorn.com has extended a $250,000 offer to King, 18, to become "Miss YouPorn" and travel the world promoting the site.
"As you now know, there is nothing more popular than a story involving ex beauty pageant contestants doing porn," wrote YouPorn marketing director Brandon Burns in a letter to King, obtained by E! News.
"While your peers and the Pageant officials may not like the publicity this is generating for them, we absolutely we see a real opportunity for us to work together!"
"We believe this story will only catapult your career and could really expose you to an entirely different audience," Burns continued, asking for a meeting with King and her reps at their earliest convenience. "Many famous directors and producers frequent our site daily...I am sure through your travels with us as Miss Youporn, you will meet a lot of incredible people and see the world."
There has been no indication that King (or her reps) have even acknowledged receipt of this offer, much less considered it.
King announced yesterday that she was relinquishing her Miss Delaware Teen USA crown, just a few months after winning the title, but adamantly denied that she was the girl in an adult video that surfaced that purported to feature her as the leading lady.
The girl in the video, meanwhile, reportedly says on camera that she's a "Miss Teen" and that it's "not a big secret."
K2 Productions, which works with Donald Trump's Miss Universe Organization, hasn't ruled any which way, but a spokeswoman said yesterday in accepting King's resignation: "If the footage is of Miss King, I feel this is a perfect example for all teens to learn that these types of actions have consequences."
