The Biggest Loser's Jillian Michaels is packing up the family and hitting the road.

She's not exactly leaving Hollywood, but the reality show trainer has partnered with Live Nation to launch her first live tour in April. Maximize Your Life will feature Michaels live on stage speaking about wellness and motivation.

"I'll talk to people about diet and I'll talk to them about exercise but also the bigger picture," Michaels tells me. "I'll talk about what's held you back and held you down, what is the how-to of building confidence and redefining your self-image, and achieving your goals."

Michaels says balance is the key to staying on the right track. "It's learning about what that right balance is for you and your family and your life," she said.

And Michaels certainly knows about that. She and her partner, Heidi Rhoades, have two children, daughter Lukensia, 3, and 9-month-old son Phoenix.

"Being a mom makes it 10 times harder [to stay in shape and be healthy,]" Michaels said, adding, "It's been really hard, but I've learned how to balance that.

"It's never going to be like it was, but it's the kind of thing like where my mom will babysit a couple of hours on one weekend day and I can go to one class," she said. "Then I'll trade off with Heidi one night of the week and I'm like, 'OK, now you go for a run.'"

Michaels has at least two must-haves for the road. "I'm going to bring my bike so I can get a workout in wherever we are," she said. "And I'm bringing my bird."

Yes, her bird.

"I have a little parrot who hates everybody but me," Michaels said. "So I can't leave my bird alone at the house with the pet watcher."

Maximize Your Life kicks off Apr. 4 in Winnipeg, Canada, followed by 34 more cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
