Kristen Stewart's upcoming flick On the Road isn't the only new Beat Generation era movie coming soon to a theater near you.

Daniel Radcliffe plays the late gay poet Allen Ginsberg in the recently wrapped Kill Your Darlings.

And from what we see and hear, the 23-year-old Harry Potter star nailed it.

"He gets to earn his stripes," says Dane DeHaan, who plays Lucien Carr, one of the original members of the Beat Generation circle of writers. "I'm fully confident that if anybody ever had any doubts about Dan, after they see this movie, they'll be like, 'Wow, that kid's an artist, that kid's an actor.'"

Photos from the set show Radcliffe and DeHaan filming scenes in which they affectionately grab each other and lay together on a New York City street.

"Dan and I had such a great time making the movie," he added. "We became really close friends. He's such a sweet guy and such a dedicated artist."

DeHaan, 25, also got pretty tight with Shia LaBeouf, 26, during the making of Lawless (in theaters on Wednesday).

"Shia and I took a road trip from L.A. to Georgia to start off the process," he said. "We started forming our relationship together as best friends."

Thankfully, DeHaan never got on LaBeouf's bad side like costar Tom Hardy. The Transformers and Dark Knight Rises stars have both admitted to getting into a physical fight with each other.

"Shia likes real life to mimic the movie's he's on and they play brothers and brothers love each other but brothers also fight with each other," DeHaan said. "So did they get into a bit of a fight one time? Yeah, but is that a bad thing? No, it probably helped the movie."
