Snoop Dogg is roaring into the reggae world.

The rapper has not only decided to take on a different genre of music with his next album, but he's also going to go by another name in the process.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Snoop Lion.

While the album itself, titled Reincarnated, won't drop until later this year, Snoop Dogg, er, Lion and his band, the Jungle, have already released the disc's first single, "La La La."

"It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a f---ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song," album executive producer Diplo of Major Lazer tells MTV. "We're going to get back into the production of it next month, and I'm really proud of this record. It's the first record I've ever executive produced and his crew is amazing."

Snoop Lion & the Jungle will perform live for the first time at Toronto's Caribana 2012 on Aug. 3.
